My name is obviously Sarah. I am a web & graphic designer and developer out of Toledo, OH. I love good jokes, fresh-baked cookies, and clean design. Ideally, I want to land a job working in media design and event planning, but for now I fill my time with small freelance jobs and serving to pay the bills.
Having worked my way through college, I can proudly say I have an exceptional work ethic and an ability to work in tight deadlines (time management with working two jobs and full time classes is a must). I am also open to many changes and love to learn new and exciting technologies. Location is not a factor to me. I would be willing to relocated anywhere, so long as I can bring my best friend and snuggle-buddy, my dog Joey.
Outside of web design, I have a passion for exercise and healthy eating and in my spare time I enjoy playing one of my 3 ukuleles or venturing to a good concert on the weekends.
I use my technical knowledge and awareness of user experience to design and develop clean and fuctional end-products.
Image manipulation, 3D essentials, comps, and layouts.

Building, coding, debugging, and implementation.
Form validation, text animation, and basic manipluation.
Basic knowledge and use within Wordpress custom themes.
Maintaining multiple websites accross a server. I develop modules ad responsive websites in Freedom CMS along with coding HTML emials for email campaigns. I work largely with HTML and CSS, but also do some work with jQuery. Usually I stick to front-end development, but occasionally I will do some graphic design work as well. Experience working in website re-designing, UX navigational organization, and marketing strategy design. I worked on many different marketing campaigns within the university requiring me to be present at photoshoots, design and code emails, create digital advertisements and banners, and even worked production on a campus-wide event called "The Hatch". Also, I now have experience working within two content management systmes; Rhythmx and Adobe.
Here I was responsible for maintaining, running, and overseeing print jobs at a local print shop. I used RIP software and pantone color matching to ensure the jobs came out to quality, and saw the jobs all the way through finishing. Over time, I was put in charge of my own design job where I designed the print for client and saw it all the was to shipping. One of the larger jobs we had while I was working there was the outfield signage for Fifth Third Field in Toledo, OH. I experienced working with large format printers and vinyl cutting machines.
I took classes at BGSU focusing around the technical aspects of Interactive Media, Print Media, Video Production, and Photography. In these classes, I worked with CAD software, creative design programs, 3D essential programs, and in photography studios to develop my skills. I also took supplemental Web and App development classes in order to refine my coding and database knowledge. By graduation, I knew I wanted to focus in Interactive Media, with a secondary focus in Photography.
I currently am finished with all required classes at BGSU except for one online class that I will be taking in the Fall of 2015. The graduation date reflects the date that I will have all credits completed.
Majoring in Visual Communication Technology with a specialization in Interactive Media and a secondary specialization in Photography. I took many courses in visual problem solving and project management as well as supplementary classes in Web and App development and Fine Arts, and three cooperative education experiences. Perspectively graduating with a 3.2 GPA.
I am currently available for hire for freelance work as well as a full time position!
